I have a upright mignon piano serial number 91579, just recently i have been restoring it. I pulled out the very first key on the right and discovered a name and the date 1951 written in pencil! It was by chance that I discovered that way as to when the Piano was made. so maybe you should do the same!
That makes the piano made between 1936-1937.. The old upright catogory.. As a piano it has little to no value. The only thing that makes those worth fixing or keeping is sentimental value.
It depends whether you mean an Eavestaff piano made in 1823, or one that mentions 1823 on the case. That was the year the firm was established, but they were not makers then, only dealers. There is no such thing as an Eavestaff made in 1823.
