The web address is a name that identifies a server. Think of it as your computer's IP. Since you are not registered, you don't have a domain name that will show up in a browser. But, you could have 1.2.3.4/index.html as the location of your HTML file. If it is an index.html or index.htm file, the browser doesn't bother loading in the name, it just stops with the subdirectory, such as:
http://www.example.com/index.htm
In that case, the index. htm is on the server, but the browser shows it like this:
http://www.example.com or
http://www.example.com/
That's why if you type in a web address, it automatically takes you to the file there.
just open the HTML file in a web browser.

Behind the Web Page is the HTML. The HTML is a language for the browser to read, and instructs the browser in how to display the page. If you want to see the HTML, right click on the page. A box will open, then select view source. A window will then open with the HTML for that page.
HTML is an open source software that is available in every system that contains a web browser.
To "run" HTML code, you simply need to open it using a web browser. This can be done by placing the file on the server and pointing the browser to it, or you can use the native "Open File..." command in the browser itself. If you want to learn HTML you can visit one of the websites in the related links.

HTML is not compiled. It is not a programming language. It is open and read by a browser. The process is similar to what an interpreter would do.
