Well a proper bee keeper would always leave enough honey for the bees to survive. But it really doesn't matter because bees abandon their hives in the early fall because they cannot survive the cold climates.

Do humans take all the bees honey meant for them?

No beekeeper takes all of the honey in the hive. Any honey in the brood frames is always left. In the autumn/fall beekeepers will feed the bees with sugar syrup or similar to make sure the bees have enough stores to see them through the coming winter.

Is the stinger always left in the skin?

No the stinger is not left in the skin from Wasps or Hornets. They just sting you and pull it out. Only Honey Bees leave a stinger in you. My family are beekeepers so I have been stung by many bees but since honey bees die when they loose their stinger they don't sting unless they feel threatened.

What is the difference between bumble bees and the queen bee?

Honey bees are social insects and live in groups of a few tens of thousands, bumble bees live in small groups or even alone. Although both species make honey, only honey bees store a surplus for times when nectar is not available. Bumble bees make at most around a tablespoonful of honey. Honey bees remain active over winter, though they won't leave the hive if it is too cold or wet. Young bumble bee queens seek out a sheltered place in which to hibernate, and the other bumble bees die when winter comes.

What are the solutes in honey?

mostly simple sugars, predominately glucose. There are some enzymes and acids in there as well from the process bees use to actually make the honey. Interesting fact, honey is a supersaturated, which is shy it will crystallize if left siting for too long

What does a honey bee make honey from?

Honeybees collect sweet nectar from flowers and bring it back to their hives. There it is stored for future use, because its sugar provides honeybees with the energy they need. The nectar is stored as honey, which is a thick, concentrated form of nectar that has been converted in the bees' digestive tracts. Honey is stored in little compartments or cells in the hive, which the bees seal over with beeswax which they also produce. We call this honey-filled wax honeycomb. Beekeepers take honeycomb from the hive (leaving enough behind for the bees), using the wax for candle making and the honey to sweeten all kinds of foods.they collect pollen.

Why are bees associated with Saint Isidore?

Saint Isidore is associated with bees because of a legend that portrays bees as protecting him while he slept in the fields. It is said that the bees swarmed around him, landing on his face, but did not harm him, which was seen as a sign of his purity. This connection with bees has led to him being considered a patron saint of beekeepers and farmers.

Where do bumble bees go in the winter?

Homebody activities and forays outdoors are what happens to bees in winter. The insects in question count among nature's cold-blooded animals even though their winter life cycles and natural histories exclude die-off and hibernation. They keep busy by eating stored food, maintaining the hive, and turning out drones when quarters get crowded and reserves get low.

What happens when a honey bee bites?

Honey bee jaws are designed for gathering food and are too weak to hurt a human - so nothing would happen if a honey bee were to try and bite a human. To protect themselves honey bees have a 'sting'.

Does homeowners insurance cover structural damage caused by honey in the walls left by bees?

Im not sure how 'bee honey' itself could damage anything. Homeowner's policies typically excluded damage caused by insects. // NOTE ADDED: Bee hone decays once the bees are dead, and the process can cause rot as well as damage to drywall and other building materials. Leaving the honey in the walls can cause major issues.
