The difficulty telling when most bills were actually printed is that the unlike coins, bills are dated by "series", not the actual year the bill was made. To make things worse, the criteria that define a series have changed over time, so some bills (e.g. 1935) were printed with the same series date for decades, while others (e.g. 2001) were only printed for a couple of years.
About the best you can do is to look at the signatures of the Treasurer and Secretary on the bill, then find out when those two officials served.
