Vampires were first heard of very long ago. It's very hard to keep a record of such things. but I do know that in the middle ages, people would go on witch hunts and vampire burnings. Vampires were believed to be of the devil. The germanic tribes of the middle ages also were said to have stories and myths about the vampires, the cold paled creatures of the night. A few of these tribes were the Lombards, the Slavs, and the Visigoths.
Hope it helped :)
I heard it is because of the smell, that's why they are carved and left outside of the house to keep vampires away.
Male vampires are fertile. The child of a male vampire is called a Dhampir. I have never heard of a female vampire giving birth.
Vampires DON'T EXIST!What are you, a moron?:)
Vampires do not exist in reality. Any 'existence' they have began when the first vampire story was told.
I haven't heard of a show about vampires in San Francisco. Perhaps you are confused, and mistake this for the show, Moonlight, on CBS, about vampires in Los Angeles. It is a very good show, and you should check it out if you're interested in vampires.
I have never heard that myth. In Twilight they say that the werewolf gene kicked in because of the vampire presence but that is the closest I have heard.
people can not only turn into vampires when they bite them like me people can also be born vampires.
in folklore they say vampires were first in Transylvania, Russia and italy

Vampires lick you first to feel your vein throbbing. That gets them excited. Then they will bite you.
Had always heard that Vampires take three days to be resurrected from the dead, supposedly the antithesis to Christ who rose three days after his death.
