∙ 13y agoWhales have been in reasonably plain sight for so long that their initial discovery certainly went unrecorded amidst more important tasks, such as hunting them for food. Those who first recorded them likely considered them commonplace and hardly a discovery. Web searches return unsatisfying results for the first record of whales.

∙ 6y agoConrad Gessner, an ocean scientist, was out looking for whale fragments to study. Unexpectedly, he found a orca on the way. Many people believe that they are whales or dolphins, but the fact is they are neither. They are their own species!
A male could get up to 19 to 22 Ft. a female can get up to 16 to 19 Ft.
