I have e-mailed ABC TV about 2 weeks ago to ask them and they still have not gotten back to me.
I DID notice though that last Saturday (31st July 2010) ABC began screening Series 1, Episode 1....so one can only hope they are replaying Series 1 & 2 so that Series 3 can follow on after them!
Australia They have won 31 out of 65 series and England 29! Terrible. There has also been 5 draws.
1986-87 was the last time England beat Australia in an Ashes series. The margin was 3-1 in the five test series However, England were the holders of the Ashes before that series, and therefore retained the Ashes, rather than won them. The last time England actually won the Ashes was in England in 1985 - again a 3-1 series victory
The 1981 Ashes series were held in England. Despite having been 1-0 down after two Tests, England won the next three Tests to finish 3-1 victors (with two draws), thus retaining the Ashes. The series is popularly known as Botham's Ashes, due to the remarkable performances of Ian Botham with both bat and ball.
Australia won the Ashes in 1987, retaining the trophy after a 3-0 series victory against England. The series was held in Australia, and it featured memorable performances from players like Allan Border and Craig McDermott. This victory marked Australia's dominance in the Ashes during that period.
Australia took a 3-0 series lead over England to regain Cricket Ashes.
Yes 100% No not really. Australia is more likely to win it, or it will be a draw.
Ashes to Ashes is supposed to be broadcast between the 27th March and the 2nd April on BBC One at 21:00 (9:00)
England won by a mile- an innings and 200 or so runs. It was the 5th Ashes test of 2010/11, in Australia. England won the series 3-1.
In 1997, the Ashes series consisted of six Test matches due to a decision by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket Australia to expand the traditional five-match format. This was aimed at increasing the excitement and competitiveness of the series, as well as providing more opportunities for fans to engage with the historic rivalry. The series was held in Australia, and England managed to secure a 3-2 victory, making it a memorable contest.
It starts 7th of September 2009 and should be brodcast around Febuary 2010
England won the last Ashes in the year 2010-2011.
