J.K. Rowling is currently working on her crime series. The first two books, The Cuckoo's Calling and The Silkworm, have already been released.

Rowling has said she does not plan on writing another fantasy novel as she will borrow too much from the world of Harry Potter. She is currently working on the screenplays for the movie adaptation of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, set in the same world.
