Although commas in questions would be a dream come true for some of us, it is an overall low priority. There are currently no plans to rewrite the software to allow question commas.

Why can you not put commas and other punctuation marks in WikiAnswers?

That only applies to the questions and is a technical limitation.

Why doesn't Wikianswers allow punctuation such as commas and semicolons when posting questions?

Because they are not needed when writing a Question!

Why can you not use commas in WikiAnswers?

When you ask a question, and it takes commas out, that is because it is looking for punctuation marks to take out. This is because we don't want questions with periods at the end. The questions mark is automatically put in. Often people put periods at the end of a sentence as a reflex and don't notice they did. They might also have forgotten that questions need questions marks, not periods. The site is trying to help out to have more questions punctuated correctly.Limitations in the WikiAnswers database do not allow certain characters to be used in questions. Also, we would be reluctant to add commas to questions, as commas would allow many different variations of a question to be asked.See Related Question.

Why won't WikiAnswers allow you to enter commas into your questions?

The system can't handle punctuation, and it reduces the amount of same questions asked because they differed by a comma.

Will commas ever be allowed in WikiAnswers questions?

Special characters cannot be used in asking a question in the ASK box. Unfortunately the comma is considered a special character by the ask box. This is due to the set up of the system. Eventually commas may be implemented in questions. At least we hope so. For now, you can use special characters including commas within the answers to questions.

Why don't WikiAnswers let us use punctuation including commas?

WikiAnswers wishes for you to use commas and proper punctuation in your answers, but only question marks and a few other symbols are allowed in asking questions. The use of periods and hyphens are sometimes allowed, as well as other specialized characters such as the degree ° symbol.

Why can't you have parentheses in your questions?

Limitations in the WikiAnswers database do not allow certain characters to be used in questions. Also, we would be reluctant to add commas to questions, as parentheses would allow many different variations of a question to be asked. See Related Question.

Can you include a picture when you ask a question?

Currently, WikiAnswers does not support questions with pictures attached.

Why doesn't WikiAnswers let you use periods and parentheses etc.?

Punctuation can cause problems with the URLs (web addresses) of questions on WikiAnswers. WikiAnswers is actively looking for solutions around this problem and may support punctuation in questions in the future.

Wikianswers says it doesn't allow any kind of punctuation except for a question mark and a period. If it allows periods then why doesn't it allow commas?

I would guess because the questions should be short enough not to need commas, and its hard to make one question that uses a comma correctly.

Can you also answer some questions on WikiAnswers?

Yes , you can answer the questions on wikianswers.

Why isn't punctuation except for question marks and apostrophes allowed by WikiAnswers?

In my opinion, at least commas should be allowed. However it's most likely they want questions to actually be questions, instead of someone giving details and assuming people know what their question is.
