This was such a sad show. The entire cast was crying. Millions of viewers at home, myself included, were crying when they were leaving the WJM newsroom for the last time singing It's A Long Way To Tipparary.
Phyllis Lindstrom and her unseen husband Lars lived in the same apartment building as Mary and Rhoda, and for some time were secretly the building managers. Lars had an affair with Sue Ann Nivens, who had a cooking show on the channel (WJM) where Mary worked.
