Gestation period is 28 days.
She will get giant and she won't eat for maybe a day or two.
Also she will pace the tank looking for a safe place to have them!
Your guppy will take about 3 to 4 weeks before giving birth.
she would be antisocial staying in the corner of the tank away from other fishand the male will be harassing her.
just before birth she will be very fat and abit like a square
the hole wer the babys come out of will start to open
and she will be breathing very fast
Judging by the responses above, guppies are evidently quite different in their behaviour. Generally, you will find your female guppy not looking or acting any differently. She will swim and feed with the others, and the males will harrass her whether or not she is about to give birth - that is their very nature. Females do not become antisocial, but they do find a quiet spot to quickly drop their babies before resuming normal activities.
The thing to notice is the black spot on her abdomen, which are the baby guppies inside her. The darker it is, the closer she is to giving birth. The dark spot will disappear when she has given birth, but of course, guppies are completely cannibalistic, and unless you have plenty of dense water weed in the tank, the mother (and other guppies) will quite happily eat the babies as soon as they are born. You need to be prepared to shift them quickly into another tank, or into a special small guppy holding tank that stays within the larger tank, and into which you can drop special baby guppy food.
MY GUPPIES ARE PREGNANT
I have had guppies in a tank now for about 6 weeks and two females have got very fat and black at the back, they also seem to avoid each other, however the male keeps chasing her she is really black and fat. I am getting bored with waiting. I don't know whether they will give birth in the light or the light turned off please look at the video it is the guppy with the red finned being followed by the yellow one Please could you help me on how long you think it will take? Thanks a lot!

Guppy is a member of the livebearers family. This term (livebearers) means that their fry come out swimming and "ready" to the big World. The gestation period for this fish is usually 28 days but sometimes can take some more time. Like all livebearers when the female is in pregnant it will develop a dark triangular shaped gravid spot near her anal vent. As the pregnancy progresses this dark triangular shaped gravid spot will get larger and darker.
One can tell if a guppy has babies in her if she has a black dot near her gut.
Inbetween 28 days to 2 months most of the tome about 31-38 days.
A guppy will give birth about once each month, when they look very bloated, might not be eating and have a lump under their gravid spot.
Every 4 weeks on average.
fifty days i think. :]
Gestation period for a guppy is 28 days.
I'm not sure this is right but, I've heard it takes 3 hrs for a male guppy to impregnate a female. But I've also heard that it can take up to 1 month.
a long time
An average of 42 days is the time is takes for a ferret to give birth.
i think it will take about two weeks
53 seconds
100 Years
It takes 12 months for a dolphin to give birth to another dolphin (calf).
It takes about 60 to 63 days for a female coyote to give birth.
as long as it takes for yo mama to give birth
Guppies usually gestate for around 3 or 4 weeks but if conditions do not suit them they are capable of holding the delivery back for many months.
About 30 days
