There is no such rank as "First Class Sergeant". You have either Sergeant First Class, which is E7, or First Sergeant, which, along with Master Sergeant, is E8.
"Buck Sergeant" is used in reference to a Sergeant (E5) - the lowest grade of Sergeant - as opposed to Staff Sergeant, Sergeant First Class, Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, etc.
I am in JROTC (junior reserved officers in training corps) so I have to know... Private Private first class specialist or a corporal (I am a corporal) sergeant staff sergeant sergeant first class Master sergeant or first sergeant sergeant major command sergeant sergeant of the army
The United States army consists of twelve ranks. They are, in order of rank, Private, Private First Class, Specialist, Corporal, Sergeant. Staff Sergeant, Sergeant First Class, Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Command Sergeant Major, and Sergeant Major of the Army.
The US Army has a sergeant 1st class, it is the pay grade of E7, ranked above a Staff Sergeant and below a Master Sergeant.

Sergeant First Class
Sergeant First Class is pay grade E7. In the Army, the next pay grade - E8 - has two ranks within it - Master Sergeant, and First Sergeant. The difference being that a First Sergeant is a company's senior NCO, whereas Master Sergeant tends to denote NCOs holding staff positions.
A platoon sergeant is someone who is responsible for the care and well-being of a platoon of soldiers. It is a description of a job. A Sergeant First Class is a pay grade (rank). It is also called E-7, and abbreviated SFC. Usually (but not always) the job of platoon sergeant is given to a soldier in the pay grade of Sergeant First Class, due to their experience and skill. It is possible to have a well-performing soldier of the previous rank (Staff Sergeant) doing the job of platoon sergeant, and it is also possible that a Sergeant First Class could be doing something other than leading a platoon (staff duty, for example).
Gunnery Sergeant is pay grade E7, and the equivalent Army rank is Sergeant First Class.
