If you are referring to the California Dream Act (financial help for students), that bill was vetoed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you are referring to the Dream Act which has been proposed many times in the Federal Congress, that bill has not yet gained enough support to pass and is stalled probably until mid to late 2009.

People opposed to the Dream Act believe that it is bad because it incentivizes illegal activity. The Act gives legal status to illegal immigrants who came to the US as children.
The DREAM Act, first introduced in 2001, has not been passed as federal law. However, various states have implemented their own versions of policies to protect young undocumented immigrants, often referred to as "DREAMers." These state-level initiatives can provide access to education and certain benefits, though the federal DREAM Act itself has not taken effect. As of now, protections for DREAMers largely rely on programs like DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
Not that many......To change this from happening, the Dream Act must pass. Go Dream Act.
