2012 May 20: Annular Solar EclipseThere will be 4 eclipses in 2012. 2 solar and 2 lunar. Here are the dates and what type of lunar/solar eclipse they might be.* May 20, 2012: Annular Solar Eclipse* June 04, 2012: Partial Lunar Eclipse* November 13, 2012: Total Solar Eclipse* November 28, 2012: Penumbral Lunar EclipseWhat is an Annular Solar Eclipse?A solar eclipse in which the moon covers all but the outer ring circumference of the sun. What is a Partial Lunar Eclipse? An eclipse in which the moon is not completely immersed in the umbra of the earth's shadow. What is a Total Solar Eclipse? When the moon come between the earth and the sun. What is a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse? When the moon passes behind the earth so that the earth blocks the sun's rays from striking the moon.
The next lunar eclipse is set to occur on November 28th, 2012. This is a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. April 25th, 2013 is when the next one from 2012 will occur. This is a Partial Lunar Eclipse. Keep in mind that an eclipse isn't always visible from every point on Earth-- You have to be fortunate that the shadow falls upon your region at the right time of day!
-- November 13, 2012 . . . . . Total Solar Eclipse -- November 28, 2012 . . . . . Penumbral Lunar Eclipse (answer written on June 26, 2012)
Nov 28, 2012 a penumbral lunar eclipse will be visible also from Iowa May 25, 2013 a total lunar eclipse will be visible also from Iowa
"Next" is a moving target, of course. This post was written on June 6, 2012, and the "next" lunar eclipse will be a penumbral lunar eclipse on November 28, 2012. In a penumbral lunar eclipse, the Moon becomes a little darker than normal, but generally not enough darker to be noticeable. There will be a partial lunar eclipse on April 25, 2013, and a couple more penumbral eclipses. The next total lunar eclipse will be April 15. 2014.
There is generally one total lunar eclipse every year. Sometimes there are two; occasionally there are none. Since half of the world at a time can see a lunar eclipse, you will normally see one total lunar eclipse (weather permitting!) every other year from your location. The next total lunar eclipse will be on December 21, 2010, and will be visible from anywhere in North America. You can see the catalog of all eclipses at the NASA Eclipse web site, at the link below.
There will be a partial lunar eclipse on June 4, 2012. The next total lunar eclipse visible in San Antonio will be on April 15, 2014. There will be several penumbral eclipses between now and then, but you probably won't notice them.

On average, every other year or so. There will be a partial lunar eclipse which should be visible in Oklahoma on June 4, 2012, and a total lunar eclipse on April 15, 2014. There are several penumbral lunar eclipses between now and then, but penumbral eclipses are of interest only to astronomers.
There will be a partial lunar eclipse on June 4, 2012, visible from the western US and eastern Australia, and a penumbral lunar eclipse on November 28, 201 which may or may not be visible in Asia, Africa and eastern Europe. There will be a total solar eclipse visible from the northern tip of Queensland, Australia and across the Pacific Ocean on November 13, 2012.
