First u hve to take the Tumkur Road NH4….At Nelmangala abt 25KM frm Bangalore u hve 2 take a left…This road is NH 48 & it wil lead u 2 Mangalore…..This road is always busy with 500 buses plying between the cities at night & during the day u hve 2 be aware of the trucks….Though the stretch is good lots of accidents occur. It may take around 7 to 8 hours if u travel by bike…The road will be quite plain for 200kms & then the ghat section starts. If u start early in the morning u wil reach there by evening. Good Luck
