A .GIF is a file and is saved like any other file.
The extension is actually immaterial. It merely serves to give the operating system a hint as to the file's content, allowing the file to be associated with a particular application, such as a GIF file viewer or an image editor application. In order to save a GIF file, you must first re-encode the image (assuming it is not already in GIF format), and save the output to a file with a GIF extension.
click on it and put it in the recycle bin. or, select it and press delete
depends on the program you are using. in ms Paint or Photoshop you can do Save As. and pick .gif (compuserve gif its sometimes called) from the file type menu. in Fireworks you can export it as a gif. Saving As likely wont save any animation if you're trying to do that, you'd have to export it as a gif animation(at least in fireworks)
Photoshop's "Save for web" supports PNG, JPG and GIF.
you save the animation as a GIF file, then open Windows movie maker, import the GIF file, then add it to the time table. now import the sound file and add it to the time table too, and just sync them. save the file as video file and your done!
Yes you can. Open jpg in image editing program like Photoshop then save it as a new gif file.
Just open the jpeg image in photo shop and go to menus : file --> save for web and devices. A save for web and devices window will open, set its extension to gif then click on save button. It will save your jpeg image to gif image. Cheers

In Pivot, go to file-> save animation, then save as GIF. Type in the file name. Save it. It will have GIF options. Then on frame delay, do 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12. Any number in there. Then in Shrink Frames do #2. Un-check merge and palette. Click ok (or whatever it is). Open windows movie maker and then import pictures. It will have your GIF saved where you saved it. Select your Gif, and click Import. It will import your animation. If you want to make it a wmv or video, go to file -> save movie file. Then click Next. It will do the rest. When it is done, click finish.
