You don't have to have some fancy way of doing this -- just write what happened.
"Two weeks later, they arrived," or "Later on ..." or "After awhile..."
However you decide to write it, that's all you need -- no weird plot twists or time travel needed.
gear it higher
When you understand the connotation of the word compared to the original word
Writing isn't always boring. I think it can be boring if you are writing about something that you don't care about, or it can be hard if you haven't practiced writing a lot, but writing can also be fun. I like to write about ideas, or write stories, and I enjoy it.
So that we can express ourselves without sounding plain and boring. For example, when someone asks you how the eclipse was, it sounds much better to say, "It was phenomenal,"rather than, "It was cool; it's strange how science works." A lot of people like people with larger vocabularies. A thesaurus is great to use when you are writing and looking for just the right word.
Writing is interesting, especially if you're making up stories for yourself.
