Only in the sense that the earth nurtures all living things, and animals are living things. One way or another, your body goes back to the earth when you die.
There are any number of belief systems that say that when we die our spirit passes into another phase.
Some believe that we evolve into higher life forms as a reward for living a "good" life this time, or into a lower life form as a punishment for "bad" behavior. This is less of a "go to hell" kind of punishment and more of a "you didn't learn the first time, you have to do it again" kind of action. Other belief systems think when we pass if we are very good or can be of help to others, our spirit passes into a "spirit guide" which can and does take corporeal form.
There are even old Scottish legend that say the souls of women who die in childbirth are reborn as doves.
There are a lot of people who do believe we become animals when we die... until someone dies there is no way for them to be sure...

∙ 13y agoAfter you die you will not turn into an animal, insect, or even another person, you will go to one of two places, either Heven, or Hell for all of eternity, and those places wont be just a figment of your imagination...
