No, this is an old superstition with no basis in fact. Think about it: no matter when you have a dream of the dead, sometime in the following days you will hear from "the living." Whom else would you hear from? And how often do you "hear" from someone else? Every day? The old superstition is so broad as to be completely meaningless.
