After receipt of your insurance license you must also work directly for an insurance company as a direct writer or go to work for an independent insurance agent. Either of these will supply you with access to insurance products to sell and most importantly training about the products that you will be able to sell. Knowledge is your most important friend. A client that gets the impression that you are not aware of your products and laws will quickly find someone else to do business with. Most agencies will have a training method to bring new agents into the field with the knowledge you need to succeed.
