Try cleaning the MAP sensor wire with MAP sensor cleaning spray (yes, there is such a thing-try Autozone). The sensor is located near the intake of the air filter and is a thin wire (be careful!). You will most likely have to take off the top half of the air filter box to get to the sensor. Be sure to disconnect any wire connections prior to removal. One of those connections should be the MAP sensor. After cleaning with the spray, put everything back in place and hook up wire connectors. Start car and see if that corrects problem. A dirty/contaminated MAP sensor will definitely affect your cars idle speed and smoothness of acceleration. Good Luck!

Most likely its the throttle cable, if not I would check the linkage between the gas pedal and the throttle body.
On a diesel, the TPS or APPS (accel pedal position sensor) is part of the accelerator pedal. On a Hemi, the TPS is a non-servicable part of the throttle body. I have an 05 Prius and the pedal looks just like any other pedal I have seen on cars.
Above the brake pedal, on top of the pedal lever.
1998.5-2003 it is on the part under the hood where the throttle cablesd attach. 2004 it is under the driver side battery box 2005-2013 it is part of the accel pedal itself.
You can only adjust the clutch pedal. You can adjust position and range just on top of the pedal.
Toyota has recently started replacing their gas pedals. These were the cause of major recalls.
Toyota is cheaper and no longer has the gas pedal problems. Ford has more red light problem than Toyota
