When you try to close down the computer it said there were other users on your computer what does that mean?

It means there are other users via a network connection doing something on your system. It is just warning you that shutting down your system may cause other users to experience corrupted files if you aren't careful.

Instead of 'shutting down' the computer (to turn it off) You can jut logg off your profile.. The computer will remain turned on but wont be logged into your account. You might use this when someone is going to use the computer shortly after you and you dont want to shut it down in the mean time.. You can just logg off you profile and when they are ready.. they can then logg ONto their own profile :)

No. If your computer is off it can't run any software. It doesn't really matter if you shut down first or close safari first but some browsers will pop up a message saying the browser didn't close normally last time if you shut down without closing the browser first.
