No, I did the update, and none of my apps were deleted. The only thing was YouTube was no longer part of the iOS, but it was still downloadable as a free app from the App Store.

Siri was released on 4s just to have something new and apple wasn't ready for a big update on all devices. In October 2012, it will be released for the New IPad (third-generation) with iOS6. It will also be available for the iPhone 4s and 5, as well as the fifth-generation iPod Touch.

Not sure TBH just got the iOS6 and suddenly the music keeps randomly pausing and starting again. Not sure if its the apple update or the mp3 Rocket update as both were a few days between.
