To easily remove and replace a tire on a bicycle, the best technique for using a bicycle tire lever is to first insert the lever between the tire and the rim, then hook the lever onto a spoke to hold it in place. Next, slide the lever around the rim to gradually pry the tire off. To replace the tire, start by placing one side of the tire onto the rim, then use the lever to carefully push the other side of the tire onto the rim, working in small sections until the tire is fully seated.
Same way you use any (rim) brake. Squeeze the lever and the pads will pinch the rim, slowing you down.
The outer rim section of a wheel is called the "rim." It is the part of the wheel that holds the tire and provides a surface for the tire to mount onto. The rim is typically made of metal or alloy and plays a crucial role in maintaining the wheel's structural integrity and performance.
