Yes this is true for all C02 airguns. The gas will eventually leak out but over time it will ruin the seal if it is left charged in the gun. If you have an airgun that requires the cylinder to be in place to hold the pistol grip in place. Let the gas out of the cylinder then keep the empty cylinder in place but not tight just enough to keep the grip on the pistol.
