Your spare goes in the cargo compartment inside the vehicle, there is a long bolt sticking out of the side just below the rear drivers side window, place the tire standing up, outside toward the window and secure it with the bolt through the center hole and screw on the retainer. You can now put the tire cover on and everything is as it should be.
