In other words, they are on a plain near the castle. Is Macduff joining Siward in the assault on the castle? Apparently not. Malcolm says "Worthy Macduff and we shall take upon's what else remains to do, according to our order." Well, that's pretty vague. Macduff, as we know, does join the assault on the castle. Malcolm does not. He must have interpreted "what else remains to do" as doing the dishes or something.
