the lengendary birds are in caves ex. moltres is at mt. ember and the ground lengendary Pokemon pop out of the grass once in the game. it depends on what your starter Pokemon is to what lengendary ground Pokemon you'll get.

Okay. These few can be caught in HeartGold and Soulsilver. Mewtwo: After you have all 16 badges, go deep within cerelean cave. Mewtwo will be there at lvl. 70. I would be careful on that one. After you beat the 16 gym leaders in Silver you go to a guy in kanto 9 not sure of the name of city) he will give you a Rainbow Wing. Go to Bell tower and he will be there. In Gold after you beat 16 gym leaders, talk to same guy in silver he will give you a silver wing. Go to whirl Islands Lugia will be there. Both Ho-oh and Lugia are lvl. 70 . And for the Legendary Dogs, after you see them in burnt tower they will be roaming Johto at lvl. 40 . Zapdos: after all 16 badges go to the power plant. You'll meet Zapdos lvl.50. Moltres after 16 gym leaders is in that mt. something i dont remember the name. It's right by the elite 4. He's at lvl 50. And this is the coolest part. In Gold you can get Kyogre in Silver you can get Groudon. In Silver after you beat Red go talk to Mr. Pokemon. He'll give you a red orb. Go to Embedded tower and Groudon will be there. I think it's on route 44 or 43. And on Gold you can get Kyogre. After you beat red go to Mr.POkemon he will give you a blue orb. go to embedded tower kyogre will be there. note: both are at lvl. 50. and to get the kanto starters after you beat red go to prof. Oak.
