Stone is considered to be non-combustible. Stone has no fire rating at all. Stone has been tested before and shows zero fire hazard and shows zero flame spread.
After you get Pass for station to pass between he 2 region's ,outside Mimics house. In the Silph Co. after you beat Red. Gives you one of the starter Pokemon of Hoenn. Fire Stone=Torchic Water Stone=Mudkip Leaf Stone=Treeko
The fire stone is used to evolve certain species of fire Pokemon in Pokemon Pearl, and all Pokemon games. For example, Growlithe and Vulpix require fire stones to reach their evolution state (Arcanine and Ninetaills).
In Generation I (Red, Blue and Yellow), the Fire stone can be purchased at the Celedon Department store on the 4th floor. These are the only games, aside from the remakes (Fire Red and Leaf Green) where you can purchase the evolutionary stones. Vulpix, Growlithe and Eevee all evolve with a Fire Stone.
Pokemon List for Fire Stone: Evolve Growlithe to an Arcanine Evolve Vulpix to a Nintales Evolve Eevee to a Flareon That's all.
