There are two levels of deletion on the Apple Macintosh computer.
1. Hitting "Command" + "Delete" will move the highlighted file into a folder (or directory if you are old school) called "Trash." You can also drag the file to the "Trash" icon in the "Dock." The file will remain there until you tell the "Finder" to "Empty the Trash," then you have move the file to the second level of deletion.
2. When the "Trash" is emptied, there are two ways the file can be "gone." The action in the "Finder, "Empty Trash" only deletes part of the file that allows it to be seen and manipulated. It also tags the spaces the file occupies as "empty space" allowing other files to write over that file as if it didn't exist, so, if you accidentally "Empty Trash" with a file that you want to keep, it is possible to recover the files using third party utilities, if it is done in a timely manner, BUT if you "Secure Empty Trash" the file(s) in question will be overwritten right away, making it much more difficult to recover. To recover files that have been "Secure Empty Trash" deleted, you may have to go to third party companies to recover such a file.
As a general rule, don't use the "Trash" as part of your filing system. Use the "Trash" for things you are 100% sure you will never need.
Items that are placed in the Recycle Bin on the computer desktop are actually not deleted until removed from the Recycle Bin. They are easily restored with a simple command if they are not permanently deleted.

If you have deleted files on a computer, but need them back, there is a way to retrieve the files. Once a file is deleted, it will go into the computers recycle bin. Once the recycle bin is open, there is a button at the top to restore deleted items.
When we delete any files or folders ,it does not actually get deleted right away,it goes to the recycle bin. This deleted files remain in the recycle bin until we empty the bin.this is the advantage that we can recover files or folders if they ae deleted by mistake
No - system restore is designed to 'roll back' your computer to a point in time before a problem occurred. It will undo installations, but not restore deleted files.
You probably deleted some files that are used to open Yahoo! mail. Try updating your browser and other programs on your computer such as Flash.
