Best Answer

Their ears are small but are located behind their eyes. The same is for whales and dolphins. They can also be found on the bum for some species.

Which Animal their ears on his knees?

Cricket or Dragonfly ?Answer is a CRICKET.A cricket's ears are located in a very strange place-under the knees of its front legs. There is a parable of a scientist who set out to answer this question. He trained a group of frogs to jump on the verbal command "jump". Then, he removed the legs of half of the frogs. After his lunch, the frogs that had not had their legs removed would continue to jump on command. The frogs whose legs had been removed would not. The scientist concluded that the frogs who did not jump could no longer hear the command; frogs have ears on their legs.Crickets have their ears located on their front legs just below the knee.

What is the membrane that is located on the side of a frogs head?

Tympanic membranes-- essentially 'eardrums' much like the eardrums deep inside our human ears. Frogs don't have external pinnae (ears) like we do, but you do see their eardrums right there on the side of the head.

Where is the frogs ear drum located?

Frogs can hear using big round ears on the sides of their head called a tympanum.Tympanum means drum. The size and distance between the ears depends on the wavelength and frequency of a male frogs call. On some frogs, the ear is very hard to see!frogs have special ears that are connected to their lungs. When they hear noises, not only does the eardrum vibrate, but the lung does too!Scientists think that this special pressure system is what keeps frogs from hurting themselves with their noisy calls!
