The poles on a spherical magnet are at the positive side and the negative side. Just like that of our earth which has both a north and south pole. The magnetic field is described as loops going from the north pole too the south pole, just as a normal bar magnet would behave. However a spherical electromagnet can be made such that the poles are constantly changing and never in one spot for too long. The answer to your question is impossible without more information or experimentation with the magnet. An easy way to test which is north and south is to hang the magnet on a string and then positively or negatively charge a nylon rod by rubbing a material on it(Google which will make it negative or positivel) and hold it near all the sides. One side will be repulsed then that would be the sign of whatever the rod is charged with. I hope that this long winded answer helps.

As a note north is positive and south is negative

What do we call ends of magnet?

North and South (Poles) :)

What will happen to poles in a magnet when you cut a magnet in two?

Nothing happens, except that now you have two magnets. The poles of a magnet are not actually localized at the two ends of the magnet but are inherent to the magnetic properties of the magnet. As the magnetic properties are not altered by a modification of the magnet such as cutting it in half, there will be no effect on the poles of the magnet.

Why does north magnet and north magnet don't stick together?

Equal poles repel. Opposite poles attract.

What is Something that has two poles is describes as?

A magnet. It is described as a Magnet.

Where is the pull of a magnet strongest at?

The pull of the magnet is strongest at the poles.

How does a magnet in a refrigerator works?

A magnet is a substance that is made of iron. The molecules in it are arranged in a way different than most magnets which is why the magnet has a tendency to attract materials more. Instead of the fridge magnet having a distinct north or south pole attraction, the fridge magnet has both alternating. This actually gives a stronger force of attraction. When the magnet is brought in contact or brought close to the fridge, the force between the north and south poles of the body of the fridge and the magnet attract each other, and the alternating poles on the magnet attract as well, giving that extra attraction.

Why would the two poles of a magnet attract to your fridge?

The refrigerator is usually not permanently magnetic; the magnet will induce magnetism temporarily in the refrigerator when it is brought close to it.

Why does a mineral magnet stick to a magnet?

a mineral magnet can stick to a magnet because a mineral magnet has to poles the north and the south poles

What are the poles on a magnet?

One pole in a magnet which is n stands for north , and the other pole on a magnet which is s , stands for south. Those are the two poles on a magnet.
