What Model of Buick? Anyway, most are in the fuel line that runs along the drivers side frame rail. But, they is also a "sock" filter in the gas tank attached to the fuel pump and also little filters in the fuel injector inlets. TommyTrouble
At the inlet fuel line at carb.
Most GM fuel filters are under the vehicle, behind the driver.
I was just under the hood of an 87 regal. The fuel filter was on the right side of the engine (passenger side of the car), next to the carbuerator. If you take the air cleaner off you should be able to see it...it say "fuel filter" right on it.
old fuel filter
Only one serviceable fuel filter but, there is also a filter at the pickup in the fuel tank and each injector has a filter.
Almost all GM vehicles put their fuel filters behind the driver, under the car.

It should be located in the fuel tank because I have an '87 and mine went out on my 5 days ago and I found out where it was!
87 the de-tuned LT1 will not run as efficiently on higher grade fuel
Crank Pulley, crank sensor, ignition module, dirty maf sensors, clogged fuel filters.
There are two fuel filters.
They are permanent filters that are only replaced when the fuel pump is replaced.
