inside the precombustion chamber step1
Remove the valve cover using a ratchet, ratchet extension and socket. If you have a 7.3 lmodel, you might have to remove the mounting nut from the transmission dipstick tube and move the tube to the side. Depending on your particular model, you might have to remove other components like the air cleaner tube to gain access to the valve cover. Step 2
Detach the right-fender splash shield using a ratchet and socket if you have a 7.3l model. Also, mark a line just below the bottom rib of the evaporator case by measuring 0.39 to 0.59 inches (10 to 15 mm) from the right edge towards the wheel. Mark a line at a 45-degree angle from that point towards the outboard side of the vehicle using a crayon. Then cut that corner of the evaporator case using a utility knife. Step 3
Unplug the electrical connector from the glow plug being careful not to damage the wire. On 2004 late production models, use release tool number 303-1114 to unplug the wiring harness from the glow plug. See the Resources box for more information. Step 4
Remove the glow plug buss bar using a ratchet and socket if you have a 7.3l engine. Step 5
Unscrew the glow plug from the cylinder head or bus bar using a deep, thin wall socket, ratchet and ratchet extension, or wrench. On some models, it might be hard to get the plugs out through the narrow space using the deep socket alone. In this case, once you loosen the glow plug with the socket, push a piece of rubber hose of the appropriate size onto the glow plug, unscrew it the rest of the way and remove if from the cylinder head.
Depending on model, this engine may not have glow plugs. In engines with glow plugs, they are located next to the injectors on the top of the engine, under the plastic cover.
No , a diesel engine doesn't have sparkplugs It could have glow plugs
none a diesel does not have spark plugs it has glow plugs and depends on the engine and if its a 350 it has 8
In general, glow plugs will be in just about the same place as sparkplugs in a gasoline engine. They stick down through the head.
they are located at the back of the engine on the head between the bulk head and engine. ray
Combustion chamber
Glow plugs and injectors are two different parts of two different engines. You may be referring to glow plugs or spark plugs. If you have a diesel engine, you will have glow plugs. If it is gasoline, it is spark plugs.
glow plugs are for diesel engines, the spark plugs on a mazda 3 are located on top of the engine under the plastic cover. just pull up the plastic cover and u would see the coils.
Diesel
glow plugs do not fire glow plugs are used to heat the chamber where the diesel ignites diesel is not ignited by a spark diesel is ignited thru compression
The Glow plugs on a 7.3 Diesel International are located at the top of the intake manifold. There is 1 plug for each of the 8 cylinders and each plug will have a single wire connected to the top of it.These 8 wires go into a harness which leads toward the rear of the engine where you will find the "Glow Plug Controller". The engine I am refering to is a 1988 model, however, I would think a 7.3 is a 7.3. The Glow Plug controller has been a source of trouble on mine but check the plugs first.
It doesn't have any spark plugs but it does have 8 glow plugs.
