To find keys in the abandoned ship, search through the barrels found randomly throughout the ship. Do this by walking over to one, facing it and pressing A. Mostly, it will say something like "its only trash" so keep looking through all the barrels.

∙ 13y agoWhen you step into an unlocked room, there woll be shin things on the ground. Remember where they are and press a on them. Soem eill be trash while others will be keys keep doin that until you get he keys you want. Also if u have dive use it on the dive patch go into he other room then go to the surface. Find the scanner and talk to the scientist on the ship. Then go find capt stern and give him scanner. Then give him scanner for your choice and trade a clamlerl with object on and it will evolve. Go into the middle bottom room of the second floor of the abandoned ship, after obtaining HM07 and the gym badge from mossdeep. Use surf on the water, then use dive, the go all the way into the other underwater room, and surface. then there are a bunch of locked doors, I dont remember what the order is, but all the keys are hidden within rooms. the final room has the scanner, and when you get that you want to leave and go to slateport.

If you see three doors in front of you, go to the middle door and you see water that you could dive in. Surf, dive, and go to the place with a crack. Go in and there's six doors.
