It depends on if you've got the 3.0L V6 or 2.4L 4 cyl. Also it depends on if you're car has California emmissions or not. I'm not sure about the V6 so I can't help you there, but if your's is a 4 cylinder WITH CA emmissions you've got 3 O2 sensors, the first one is a 1 wire sensor located on the exhuast manifold (or in most cases, the 4 cyl. Galant came with a factory header), the next is a 4 wire O2 sensor just before the Catalytic converter and the third one is located just after the CAT. If you DON'T have CA emmissions, it's the exact same minus the first single wire O2 sensor on the header.

bad O2 sensor
I am looking for my o2 censors im my 1998 Ford Taurus and would like some help.
behind the engine
To change the rear O2 sensor on a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and cooled down. Locate the rear O2 sensor on the exhaust pipe, typically near the catalytic converter. Disconnect the electrical connector and use an O2 sensor socket or wrench to unscrew the old sensor. Install the new sensor by threading it into the same position, reconnect the electrical connector, and ensure everything is secure before starting the vehicle.
how many wires in and o2 censor and where are the o2 censors located in a buick rendezvous
O2 sensors are usually on the exhaust manifold. Actually on the '96 Galant, one is in the header pipe (the pipe running below the engine between the manifold and the catalytic converter) and the other is in the catalytic converter.
On a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant, the O2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1 is located on the exhaust system. Specifically, it is positioned before the catalytic converter on the bank 2 side of the engine, which corresponds to the rear bank of cylinders. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle for better visibility and reach. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting to work on exhaust components.
Where is the o2 sensor on a Mitsubishi pejero 1999, V6 GDI V75W
On a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, the O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 is located in the exhaust system, specifically after the catalytic converter. This sensor monitors the oxygen levels in the exhaust gases to help manage emissions and fuel efficiency. To access it, you typically need to lift the vehicle and may need to remove any underbody shields or components that obstruct access.
2. one front and one rear. if you have the 3.0 V6 engine configuration, you will have 4. the car also has 2 catalytic converters. 1 before and after each cat (catalytic converter). there is a cat after each exhaust manifold.
On a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant with a 3.8L engine, the O2 sensors are typically located in the exhaust system. There are usually two sensors: one upstream (pre-catalytic converter) and one downstream (post-catalytic converter). The upstream sensor is located near the engine, while the downstream sensor is found further along the exhaust system, closer to the catalytic converter. For precise location, it's best to consult the vehicle's service manual or a repair guide.
