The spark plugs?æon a 1999 Dodge Durango are at the side of the engine. Make sure that the engine is cool before accessing the spark plugs.
Depends on the engine, the 2.0l and 2.4l options were 4 cylinders with 4 spark plugs, the 2.5 L Mitsubishi 6G73 V6 option required 6 spark plugs.
Follow the plug wires to the end. One end connects to the "distributor" along with the other wires. The other end connects to the spark plugs...
I had a similar issue, auto parts store sold me the wrong spark plugs. look into your plugs and wires.
If it is a v6, you need to remove the upper ontake plenum to get acess to the rear three plugs. Not fun.
spark plugs are directly in center of valve cover under spark plug boots. Follow wires from coil pack and remove wire from plug. Plugs still can not be seen but can be removed with small spark plug socket and long extension.
you have to take the intake manifold off and the other three are under it
I assume most of the V6 Stratus' are similar, but this information comes from my experience with a 1996 ES model. The three plugs on the front bank of the engine should be obvious by following the spark plug wires; they're set deep into the cylinder head cover. The rear three can only be accessed by removing the intake manifold.
