For the 4.7L Magnum (and the 5.2L too, I think), the spark plugs are lined up along the inside edge of the valve covers. They are installed vertically and you can't see them because they are hidden inside and directly underneath the ignition coil towers and down in a fairly deep socket. That's why there are no spark plug wires, the coil and wires are an individual assembly for each spark plug.
You'll definitely want to use a proper spark plug socket with the rubber insert since there is no way grab the plug with your fingers. Alternatively, you could also use an old spark plug wire and boot to carefully thread the plugs on and off.
The V8. 8 plugs = 8 cylinders
Yes this is possible. There is a second set of spark plugs that fire shortly after the primary spark plugs fire to burn any remaining fuel out of the cylinder. This is done to lower emissions. This is a very common setup on the 2.3L Ford Ranger engine as well.
bad coil? check for spark. make sure your getting power to your coil from ignition.
it points to the first spark plug on the rights side of the block
