When you are done buying it, click on the place you want your Sim to go on the map, and if you do not already have a car, your Sim will automatically get on the bike and ride it to your destination. If you have a car too and your Sim keeps riding in that instead of the bike, click the bike and hit the option 'Make Preferred Vehicle'. This will make it so you always use the bike. To switch back, just click on the car and make it your preferred vehicle.
