I've gotten two quotes for extended auto warranties. One from Assurant via USAA for 2 years, 24k miles for $1,200 - no waiting period, no deductibles. One from Mercury via AAA for 4 years, 48k miles for $1,900 - one month waiting period, $100 deductible per breakdown/repair (regardless of the number of parts.)
