In the US, massage therapy training requirements vary from state to state. Some states require massage therapists to acquire a certain amount of hours as well as pass either the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) or the National Certification Exam (NCE). California's CAMTC has both a 250 hour & 500 hour tier, each with it's own specific requirements and benefits.
