Usually when you go to buy the book from the source of your choice, reviews from other readers can be found on the same place. The reviews are from fellow readers and are usually trustworthy.

I usually do an Amazon search for reviews, but you could do a search specifically for the different book readers you're interested in, and a comparison should pop up. You Tube is also very helpful for reviews and I'm sure there are a few more tech oriented sites you could find reviews from.
