It may not be that she doesn't believe you; she may be in denial that her daughter is an alcoholic, too. Chances are she may be blaming herself for her daughter's drinking, since she is an alcoholic also. If you can't get the mother to listen to you, then try another adult family member of her daughter. Talk to them, and tell them about the daughter's drinking problem, and ask them to help her get the help she needs. If they won't help, or if there are no other adult family members to help you, then contact AA, who can, and will, give you the advice you need to help her.
