Do you go to college or a nursing program to be a nurse?
There are typically three options. An associates of science degree in nursing (two year degree), a bachelor's of science degree in nursing (BSN, four year degree), and an accredited diploma program which is usually a hospital based program. If you do not have a degree at present, I strongly advise you do not take a diploma program.

You can take an LPN program in nursing programs and medical schools. You will first have to do some training in order to qualify and pass a certain program.
Can you go to nursing school with no experience?
Yes, you do NOT need any experience in the field of nursing to go to nursing school. However, all nursing school's require different undergrad prerequisites and there is most always a GPA requirement. After you have selected a nursing school you'd like to aim for, make an appointment with an adviser in the program or look on-line for the school's Nursing Degree Plan. On the plan the required prerequisites should be listed. In selected nursing school prerequisite classes you will need to earn either an A or B to be seriously considered for acceptance into the program.
If you have a GED can you become a registered nurse?
Absolutely. You must first go to community college take your pre reqs and then enter their Nursing program to earn an associate Degree in Nursing and from there you can transfer to a 4 year program at a Univeristy.
