Most construction classes are found at a local Community College or a Technical School. These classes are hands on type of classes with no "gen. ed." classes required. When you finish the class you will receive a certificate of completion.
I would look at ITT Tech. They should help you find the class you need.
First class is never cheap sadly. Though if your just looking for comfort, then try the business class. It is cheaper and filled with people who are adults. Plus no children!

The GED is good for people who were forced or elected to drop out early. I would recommend contacting your local school board and do it through them. Some agencies online might be scammers.
