Children ages 8-13 (Which includes a 10 year old kind)
Children ages 8-13 are eligible to participate in our PAWS Club, which meets once a month. During the monthly meetings children will learn about animals and partake in projects, which will benefit animals, especially the homeless animals housed by Animal Rescue, Inc. The PAWS Club also participates in fundraising events for the shelter. To become a member of the PAWS Club a registration form must be completed. If you have child in this age group who may be interested in joining you may download a copy of the registration form or stop by Animal Rescue and request a form. The PAWS Club does require annual dues which cover the cost of supplies.

ASPCA has a lot of volunteer work. So does Petsmart. If Michigan has those places that is. Or you can check out any local vet's clinic. That's what I did before I was able to get a job; volunteer work with animals.
Of course! But try like an animal services, not like the Humane Society. Because at the Humane Society you have to be like 17 or 18 to volunteer or work there. But, you can't really work there, you can volunteer which is like working, but you dont actually have to stay all day. The jobs you probably can do is Feeding, Bathing, walking and interacting with them. I am so thankful and happy, to know, that there is lots of animal lovers in this world and will do anything for them. But not all dogs are lucky. (Cry Cry)
Yes, just call the shelter and see if they have a volunteer program and see how old you have to be. I have seen quite a few animal shelter accept 11 year olds.
The best place for any teen would be an animal shelter!
You can volunteer at a pet shelter at the age of 12 or 13. But at that age the only things you can do are: feeding, watering, combing and brushing. If not, they may not let children volunteer at Shelters because the fear of animals being aggressive and having the children be hurt by the animals. Just look into it and see. :)

You might be able to work at a vets but other wise you are to young
you can work at an animal shelter near you so the animals know that some kids care for them very much.
i do not think so. you have to be thirteen to work at a horse farm so an eleven year old could probably not work with larger and more dangerous animals. I think you would probably have to be at least eighteen to work with such large, dangerous animals.
You could volunteer at a shelter or you could pet-sit for people. Ask around! If you can't volunteer, you can always send animal food to shelters...
can volunteer in science centre
There are several places where a 14 year old can do volunteer work in Houston, TX for the summer. They can volunteer in any hospital, library, or local Salvation Army.
To be able to volunteer as a minor, one must have an adult accompanying them.
Try your local animal shelter.
