∙ 10y agoA great place to find excellent LED Christmas lights are at hardware stores such as Lowe's and Home Depot. These stores, and stores like them, usually get their lights in a few months in advance where as regular consumer markets (Walmart, etc.) only receive them during season. Also, the hardware type stores usually have sales or markdowns on these items.

There are a lot of seasonal stores that open after Halloween that sell these types of trees, they are referred to as "prelit" trees and are designed to be a quick way to set up a tree with minimal amount of decorating time.
