They are relatively cheap these days.There is a small chance that a large number of bright LEDs might be usable as a pump for a dye laser. Try researching that. Still I'm sure a COTS LASER Diode would be easier and cheaper.

When you save the third spy, you get the special googles to see the lasers and avoid them. There are also lasers on the building where a spy is held. Go around them by using the grapple to go left and then back from the other building.
