Sure ... they can even be used to amplify electronic keyboards, too.
bass amps are not able to handle the high frequency that a guitar puts out. yes it will work for a little while but I would not go out a buy a bass rig to play guitar on. Guitars and key boards can be used on a bass amp. don't spend money on it though. a bass amp is made for low frequency. keyboards go from low to high so the only way to really be safe and get the right sound for a key board is to mix the keyboard and used different amps that are channeled for the right freq. if you play guitar, buy quitar stuff. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the fender bass man is a bass amp that is one of the best guitar amps in the world
and also ..........................
bass amps have a full frequency range, they have too to get that sharp slap sound. if they could not produce high end frequency's they would just be a sub woofer ....... so don't pay any attention to the comment " bass amps are not able to handle the high frequency" this dude has no idea the laney hardcore bass amps make great guitar amps especially if you run a multi fx's pedal through them the only thing you should do when using one as a guitar amp is to turn off the compressor - limiter or at least have them so there only just on

Having emerged intact from that tangle... the amplifier's specifications will tell you its working bandwidth, which should cover all the musical frequency range happily.
What you need to think about is selecting the correct loudspeakers for the bass range and the specific amplifier's output power and impedance, and if you are not buying the units as matched system, the appropriate impedance-matching between them.
Watch out for input devices like effects pedals if they use high-gain pre-amplifiers, to make sure you don't overload the amplifier.
Yes you can, but the way the signal from the instrument is amplified and equalized is different, and the quality of sound from a regular guitar amplifier and a bass amplifier is going to be different, as a guitar amplifier is designed to work and manipulate higher frequencies. A guitar amplifier will not be a very effective way to amplify a bass at high volumes, but it will suffice for practice.
One can find Bass Guitar amps for purchase from: Sweet Water, Amazon, eBay, Guitar Centre, Tune My Bass, zZSounds, Best Buy, Gear 4 Music, Guitar Guitar, DV 247, to name a few. Prices start from $99.

it is an Electric Guitar that has only 4 strings. it plays notes much higher than those on a normal guitar. it is usually used to play the low base line of a song
Yes they are made to an deeper tone sequence. Therefore it is not smart to play bas at a guitar-amp
Behringer amps are electric guitar amplifiers. They are used to amplify the sound of the guitar. There are different models for bass guitar and lead guitar.
it depends on the type of guitar you got bass or electric, any amp will work for electric guitar but not all amps work with electric bass.
First, Guitar normally has 6 strings, Bass normally has 4. Second, Bass has a longer neck. Third, Bass is an octave down. Last, you will also need different amps.
yep!
Yes, but they don't sound as good.
Hm.. they should.. but im not so sure. my sisters electric guitar amp works with my violin.
depends what guitar you mean bass guitar = 4 strings electric guitar = electric often used with Amps Acoustic guitar = most people refer to as normal.
Bass amps usually contain subwoofers and give more low frequency than guitar amp speakers which are meant for higher frequencies. If you have a bass you want to get a bass amp and and for guitar vice versa. The primary differences are in the loudspeakers and matching, not the amplifiers! If you buy a combined amplifier & speaker unit it's easy because that's all done for you, but why do people muddle speakers with amps?
the difference between bass and guitar is a bass normally has 4 or 5 strings but guitars have 6 strings. bass guitars are used for rhythm most of the time but guitars are usually used for melody. bass guitars are 1 octave below guitars.
6 string guitar = treble electric bass= bass
Voice, Drums, guitar(s): bass and electric, and sometimes piano/keyboard
The electric bass. Probably the electric bass ^ Pfft. I wish. But the acoustic guitar is a LOT more popular than the electric bass. Many people have no idea what a bass guitar is!
