Colorado is the only school that offers all classes online with the option of completing the labs in whatever place you live, working under a licensed mortician.
Most people get a AAS degree which is an associates in applied science.

Harvard has many prestigious and illustrious programs available to students fortunate enough to be accepted. They do not, however, provide a mortuary science program.
Ivy Tech Community College has a mortuary science course if you are interested in just the short way out. But most morticians do indeed operate which does require a medical degree. This is where I would check out IUPUI. That stands for Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis. They have excellent medical training and hands on experience.
